will a bed off a 1993 extended cab fit onto an 86 extended cab? i know the body lines wont match.

It'll fit. But just like you said the body lines won't match up.

 

I'm pretty sure I saw a 93+ with a second gen bed on it (It was going the opposite way down the highway). It didn't line up at all but it did fit on the truck. It actually took me a second to figure out what was different about it.

 

Yeah....bolt holes are in the all the same places....I've seen a few around here. Gen2 with a Gen3 bed. UnGodly ugly, but, it works. lol.
