Bed tie down replacements

hey guys,
I took my bed tie downs off to remove my liner and was doing some thinking. I hate the stock tie downs. They're difficult to hook things to and seem weak. Does anybody make a replacement that fits in the stock location? They're the boat cleat style ones on my 03' fx4 step side.

I made me a set of these work great and are out or the way when you don't need them.

My '03 Edge came with this type of tie down... I found the same item on eBay (4 for $20) and reversed them to make it easier to hook/tie to.

I have 3 cleats down each side of the bed rail on my truck and they have been great.

I installed aviation seat track in the bed of my truck to give me several tie-down options.

My dad has the same stuff in his 150 and it works really well, does yours have the backing plate to reinforce it?

I put 1 inch washers on the back side, and the screws are spaced 5 inches, plus I used a aircraft airframe sealant (works well as an adhesive) when I installed them. The sides of the bed where it is mounted is twice as thick due to the bed inner walls and rail come together.

You can also try a aircraft scrap yard. There is one right next door at one of the places I work in Griffin, GA.
