Hey I'm new to 4x4ing I'm just wondering what is the best ranger to build for a 4x4 rig
I'm looking for a ext cab short box not too picky on the year but would like one with a solid axel not sure if any come with a solid axel, if any one could sujest the best one to lift and be reliable

 

no ranger ever came with a solid axle...you would have to swap one in

 

The closest the Ranger got to solid axle was the TTB setup

 

Look for a 97. Will be the cheapest to mod, most capable with just aftermarket lifts & easier to swap in a solid axle compared to 98+
