One person bought a 3" body lift and cut the blocks down with a miter saw to 2". I'm sure you could cut one down also if you had the inclination.

Only company that makes the kit for our trucks, Performance Accessories, only makes a 3" kit.

Actually there are two companies. James Duff and PA. There are no bigger body lifts than 3". Noone really needs to lift the body more than 3 inches. You can cut an inch off the 3 inch one's, thats the only way you will get a different size.

Indeed, forgot about JD. They Also sell the replacement bushings for your worn out ones, if you have them.

so the question is 3" inches too much with that lift kit or not.... and anyone that has put that body lift on how was it to install?

Jared(rangerboy03lvl2) has the RCD 5" lift and a 3" bl with 35's on, I think he said that he could have fit larger ones on there though.

3 inches is just fine. You can fit 33's with no problem at all with the BL. You should be able to fit 35's just fine with the RCD seeing how it is 5.5".

Do a search there are many many topics covering a BL and the pro's and con's and everyone and their mom's opinions on them.

Never do the hockey puck lift. They are not lift blocks.

I feel hockey pucks are fine to use for a body lift.
If i was to do it, i would never go 3 inches tho. If i was to do that i would just buy the right thing.

The only reason to use hockey pucks would be to make a custom lift smaller then 3 inches

IF you are to use hockey pucks, do as fallows.....

1- buy the pucks.
2- buy some 4 inch wide pvc pipe
3- buy very strong glue.
4- cut the pcv pipes to the amout of lift. (2 inches long for a 2 inch lift)
5- put glue on the edge and one side of a puck
6- put puck into pvc pipe with the glued side inward( fast before the glue dries)
7- glue the outter edges and one side of another puck.
8- put the other puck in the pipe with the glued side inward. (make sure to push them together tightly....using a clamp may help.
9- put glue all along the edges to protect from weather. (dont be shy with the glue)
10- let the piece dry for a day or two.
11- drill the hole in middle of pucks for the screw.
12- install.

This is the directions for only only piece. You will have to do that 10 times.
