Brake upgrade question

Hey guys,

got a question. I am looking to upgrade the brakes on SI and wanted to know options. I have access to an explorer disc rear and plan to do that swap to get the discs and rear swaybar, I was wondering is there a difference in the mustang spindles. I was curious if they were interchangable so I could swap them out and put a mustang big brake kit on the truck? I can't seem to find any brake upgrades for my truck. any info and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Arin

Here is a thread I made of my recent brake upgrade.

It's been about 3k miles now and they are still awsome. I have the SUV pads on the ranger and the ceramics on my eldorado. Both require just a little heat to get good and sticky. But boy do they live up to the claims. IMO the braking ability on the ranger is 50% better than the day I drove it off the lot. (new) These pads are that good.

95'+ spindles, have them milled to accept Mustang hubs and do the 13" Cobra brake upgrade:

Thanks for the info. I am going to look in to the rotors wydopnthrtl, and as soon as RPS comes back up I will look at the spindle mod. I think they interchange but I will see.

RPS isn't down, try resetting your modem.

I am at work. I cant' really reset anything. When I put in the web address I get a green and white domain screen saying the domain has expired and is ready to be reactivated.

Weird, Stanger already fixed that today. Try resetting your browser.

I will have to look in to the mustang upgrade. I will have to use the 11's but that is an upgrade from stock. if worse comes to worse I could just upgrade to the 95 set up as well.

Thanks

The 95'+ dual piston calipers and a nice set of discs/pads would be a big improvement.

Mustang brake upgrade

New Take Off has GT calipers, rotors and pads for $150 a pair. This looks like a cheap upgrade to me. The Stang rotors are 12.5" where the Rangers are 12". I believe these are off of '12 Mustangs. What would have to be done to make this swap?

Thanks
