bit of a hint of the final product.

skid plate with tube reinforcements going to the crossmember drawn on the bottom

and then you can see where the other tube is drawn on the bumper

So can this come off then? Cuz if so, I say powdercoat it to match the truck man... That would look so clean IMO and it wouldn't be too much more than painting it black. Plus powdercoating will last a lot longer too!

yeah i can unbolt it if wanted. hes doing it in some heavy duty flat black paint.

that should do for now, i'll probably get it powdercoated later down the road. i know of a good place in vegas to get it done

I think you should continue the skid plate all the way up to the top tube. Cover that mess up.

Why not just coat it now? Paint doesn't hold up like coating does man. It's easiest right now while it's bare too and easy to unbolt with nothing on it. I'd honestly think about doing it now, IMO.

well the guy doesnt do it at his shop, and this thing is already running a bit on the expensive side. so i think i'm good with it for now. plus, the paint is already figured in the cost..

dang thats a bit! hopefully you get what you pay for, looks pretty nice, and he's taking his time on it. i'm going ultra cheap and doing mine for $70 lol. 20' stick of 2" and a 20' stick of 1.5 and some time. We'll see how it goes!

haha hopefully it turns out good!

yeah he finished it up today, he's going to finalize everything on it, paint it, and reattach it tomorrow. get the truck back tomorrow.
