Hey all looking for some feedback before I pull the trigger on a first-gen Ranger project.Details (pics attached):
1985 Ranger XL, 5-spd manual, ~82k (claimed)
Sat since ~2017; doesnt start (needs battery)
Interior baked;bed has heavy rust/perforation
Engine is 2.3 I-4
Will probably negotiate down to $400-500 if I move ahead. Would you pull the trigger on this? Looking for a project for the next year or so. Any big red flags beyond the bed rust?
the sheet metal rust wouldn't concern me, however, what does the frame look like, the floors? Is the engine locked up? what is the current asking price?
