I find the silverstar burns out too fast!! However PIAA are way better quailty but cost alot more and also you get what you paid for this kind of quality!! hopes this help!!

Also it is same 9007 for fog light and 9005 for head light!!

Headlight IS 9007 -- foglight can be fit with 9005 instead of the foglight bulb.

Watch out for higher wattage bulbs in the 9007's!!! They can damage the wiring or connectors. Happens a LOT on Rangers fitted with higher wattage lights. Caution is in order!

Don't know if te PIAA's are higher wattage or not.

The stock headlights are in the 55 to 65 watt range. I wouldn't go higher than 75 or so under any circumstances.

I think the 9145 is the stock foglight bulb, but I don't remember. I refitted mine (when I had a valance, lol) with 9005's. I don't remember the wattage, but I think 9005's are 55 watt. The foglamp system can handle them fine.

They (9005's) have to be wiggled a bit to get the one tab in, but they otherwise fit fine. People have said "they don't fit" and it's true they are more or less difficult depending on the brand of bulb -- but they do fit.

Addendum: better check with someone with a 2004 to make sure the 9005's fit -- they should ~ but you know how that goes.

The 9005s fit perfectly in the Fogs.. They werent hard to get in at all. I read about 01-03 having problems with the tabs but it seems like the 04s were made for the 9005s.
