Canadian Speedometer

Canadian Speedometer
I recently acquired a 2011 Ranger Sport that was originally marketed new in Quebec. Documentation shows it was first titled in Quebec then later passed through US Customs into Michigan in 2014 and subsequently sold as used in Massachusetts.
The speedo has a red inner circle in Kph with a black outer circle in MPH. The electronic odometer records in Miles.
Question: Was this the way the Rangers were built for sale in Canada, or is it likely that at time of import to the US as a used vehicle the speedometer was swapped out and the recorded mileage converted from kilometers?
Thanks!

Canadian models would be just the opposite so yes, it was swapped out. Pretty sure you could look up the importer at some government website and get more details.
