catalytic converter

catalytic converter

Has anyone else had problems with their catalytic converter backing up... if so is it an easy fix, and what cat. should i buy

I understand it's a somewhat common problem on the 3.0L's with their rearwardest cat(the last one). Only fix is cut and replace with new.

I would probably just say "to hell with it" and cut off the exhaust at each downpipe, run straight downpipes, don't even waste your time with the Y-pipe.

Just kidding.

Now that i've got tags til 2011, i wanna take my last cat pipe off and beat the **** out of those last two cats and knock all the junk out of 'em.

im not sure of the year or mileage of your truck other than a '04+ but the emissions warranty should be something like 5yr/80k so it may be a free fix @ the stealership
