CB mounts

Hey I have had my CB mounted to a piece of metal pipe bent in an arch which strattled the transmission hump just behind the shifter which I was very proud of how I riged it up. I liked how I had it because it was very easy to take in and out which I was doing becuase at the time I did not feel the need for it to be permanent. Now I think its time for it to be a permant fixture in my truck to how/where does eveybody mount it ?

The truck I wanna get has got 2 metal brackets made that screw in underneath the hooks of the sun-visors and hold the CB where the OHCs go. I think it's an awesome place for a CB.

I think he made them himself. Check out the thread about the truck lilford4x4 looked at for me. You can see pictures and probably be able to make them yourself pretty easily, or have someone fabricate them

So I made some little brakets like that(wow first time I ever fab'ed anything like this) they turned out nice and they hold the CB up there but my CB is so wide it makes the visors a pain to flip down and to the side. Its better then it was and the visors still work they just take a little more push.

sounds awesome, i would just be aggravated with the cord always dangling down, it would look tacky IMO, i put my cb on my dash on the far left, it works good there
