Flag Mounts?? Any Ideas?

I did a search looking for ways to mount flags in the bed of the truck but only found the hitch flag mounts. The Ranger gods haven't blessed my 01 flareside with a hitch yet so i was wondering if anyone had a way to mount them inside the bed without doing too much drilling? i wanted to do 1 on each side. any ideas?

You could use the bed stake holes, fab a plate that has a whole in it for the pole of the flag. Or you could make a two brackets for each side that would hold the flag poles to the bed on top and at the bottom.

That isnt a bad idea. id have to cut through the bed cover brackets......or just take them off. either way, good thoughts. thanks guys. that gets me moving in the right direction.

There was somebody with a custom mount on the inside of the left rear stake pocket, inside the bed. Then used a couple of pins to keep them in. Think of a piece of channel iron, bolted or welded to the inside of the bed. I'll see if i can find some pics.

I just put one of the mounts that goes on your house in my bed, screwed it into the bedliner at the front center bottom of the cab... worked well.. no pictures though sadly..

Next time I'm home, Ill get a pic of my mount. Just a shelf bracket from the Home Depot and house flag pole mount screwed into a couple 2x4's that get stuck in the back organizer slot things...

When I was runnin with the US flag in the back, I just wedged it between the bed wall and tailgate...since I had a bed liner, it left a small little space in the very corner...and it fit in there perfect..no space to move at all..very secure...now that I took my bed liner out...Im not runnin a flag

Mines a stepside so hopefuly if you have a liner, you can just do it that way..if not, sorry I posted somethin worthless lol...

Ill post pics when I install my new brackets for the flag

I got some 2x3s and cut/sanded/grinded them to fit nicely into the stakeholes to fly 3x5 heavy duty polyester flags. I've found that speeds above 50mph both tatter the flags, and bend the rear edge of the stakeholes, so I try to keep my flagwaving to driving around town, not out on the highway.
