Flag Pole Mounts
Flag Pole Mounts
Okay I have an idea and i know im a redneck ... dont judge me lol ... okay so i want to put 3 flags in my bed for rolling thunder (memorial day event on east coast) i was wonderin how to go about doing this .. if i should go with PVC pipeing or steel or something else .. i want them to be against the back of the bed neer the tailgate if someone can draw up a design or help me out here that would be much appreciated .. thanks
permanent ... the flags are going to have to be able to be removed but the mouts will be permanent
looks cool ... despite the flags ... got any more detailed pics of the riggin of the flags
buy pole holders i.e fishing pole holders and screw em to ur bed i got them on my truck on a 2x4 that runs the width of my bed.....holds fishings poles and have flown my rebel flag from there dozens of times....also great for parking on a lake shore n catfishing
I don't have any pics, but it's pretty easy to do. IDK if you have a tonneau cover, but here's how I did mine.
The white poles are in front of my tonneau cover clips that secure it to the bed. (The silver metal C-clamps) I just used zip ties that go around the white poles and through the c-clamps to hold them in place. I made a small notch in the bed liner to seat the bottom of the white poles. The tonneau itself also helps to secure them in. The flags really drag back at high speeds, so depending on if you want to travel around 55 MPH, you need to have good solid poles. I've had mine up to 55 MPH and they were pretty secure.
a guy i saw at my school had a concrete block about 1.5'hx2'tx2'w with a metal pipe comming out.... it looked kinda gettho but it was a tall truck so you couldnt see it... i always thought of putting them into to holes in the bed cap where tie downs couls go.... idk it may work...
