Center caps

So I finally got me a set. They came today and don't fit quite right. They won't hold tight, I can pull them off easily by hand. All of the "cups" on the back look the same and don't look busted.

The only thing I can think is that it's maybe because I am using Explorer lug nuts?? Would that make a difference? I thought they were all the same.

Thanks.

Do you have Acorn lug nuts? Because the caps I have wont fit since I have the acorn style lug nuts.

Not sure about the acorn style. Don't know if I have them or not.

I didn't think about that. My stockers are on my Explorer, along with the factory Ranger rims. I'll have to check when I get back to the house.

yea, but look at it this way, they are the same thread pitch as the D44, so when you SAS it you don't have to buy new lug nuts

The stock lugs kinda have a lip on them for the caps to catch right?

so is it just Mazda that is smart and makes the centre caps held on by 3 screws so they wont fall off?

The center caps on my explorer rims are the same way. Mazda copied Ford's smartness

I can see your pics at work WTF!!!

That is what I was planning to do, one of mine has a chip I would like to hide. I might leave the whole circle chrome though, who knows?
