Changing Spark Plugs-Duratec
Changing Spark Plugs-Duratec
Anything special about doing this at home? The owners manual just says take it to the dealer. I have volumes 1 and 2 of the Service manual, I think I'm missing volume 3? engine/fuel system manual? (if any of you helpful souls could provide a link like somebody did with the wiring diagrams for me).
Other than reaching the plugs with socket-extension-knuckle-extension-knuckle-ratchet combo what advice would any of you have?
Thanks

Just be careful because its an aluminum head, so easy to cross thread when installing STEEL spark plugs
And if these were changed before then that could have happened so if a spark plug is hard to remove check it carefully for debris on the threads
Also oil likes to collect in the spark plug holes from leaking valve cover gasket, remove as much as you can before pulling spark plugs
