I need to find a frame for a 98 ford ranger does any one know what other vehicles I could get one from, cant find a 98 in good condition for a fair price.

 

Any 98+ frame will work. Must be from the same type of Ranger though.

so 98 to 2011 as long as its an xlt what about explorer frames I see a lot of those in the scrap yards all the rangers I have found so far have frames as bad as mine.

 

explorer frames will not work. i did mine a year and a half ago. look in JY you can often buy the whole truck for short money and actually sell some parts and get some money back. i know you can order them from ford but for an arm and a leg.

 

I don't think Explorers came in single cab short bed.


It's all about wheelbase. I would say for year 98-03 would be for sure compatible. 04+ will have the same frame mounts and stuff but some little stuff might be different like wiring routing and junk like that.

 

to bad you are so far away i could get you a frame for around 150 dollars
