Coolant pressure issue

Hi all, I have a Ranger PX1 2.2 2014. I bought it & have only driven at a couple of hrs & it’s been a lemon.
Already replaced the torque converter, lead frame, glow plugs, water reservoir & thermostat. Put a bypass valve in the trans, Provent catch can & pre filter. Gave the EGR the total clean job.
Now the new problem.
Went for a drive & once the new thermostat opened between 92-106 the lower pipe blew off. Let it cool down for an hr before refilling & put Ann additional jubilee clip on the pipe I got from SCA. Got to the end of my drive, 90mins, then 5 mins after the car was turned off the lower hose blew off again. I then super tightened the jubilee clip knowing that it would not blow off then started on my drive home. Half way back I saw the temp gauge have a big dip so pulled over to the side of the highway & this time the leak was coming from
the passenger side
of the engine. I have not been able to determine yet where from, but obviously the pressure had built up so much it found the next weakest spot. Did the glove test on the reservoir but it did nothing but the thermostat was closed at this stage & it seems like it happens after it opens. Got towed home.
one thing I have noticed is that once the thermostat opens the water spurts into the reservoir instead of constantly flowing.
i am thinking combustion gases are entering the coolant through a break in the gasket. Another thing I have discovered is that when I take the dip stick out, air blows up the pipe. Also when I take the oil filler cap off with the engine again running it has a
massive amount of blow by. When I take the pipe off the PCV valve there is very little air flow.
has anyone had this issue or any ideas if I am on the right track. I was going to do a pressure test but I don’t want to have to reseat the injectors if these is another option or if anyone has had the same issue.
cheers in advance

We are in North America and we haven't seen a Diesel Ranger in almost 40 years

There are a few Australian Ranger forums, you might have better luck with them.

Here's one, not sure how good or active they are though
