He's in Canada...pretty sure insurance is different. Sucks about your truck. But thanks for reminding me not to hit those huge supports in the parking garage.

Canada's insurance is wild. I have 2 totals at fault for one. 2 rear ends one my fault one not and about 6 speeding tickets and a catless violation and only $1200 a year. Ranger made my insurance drop

Ya, if you don't know how to drive. Plus, if your under 25, your pretty much screwed for insurance. Problem is....there are more idiots on the road in the GTA then good drivers. That's why rates are outrageous, I don't blame the insurance Co.'s...it's the friggin retarded drivers! Don't even get me started on 80yr old drivers and Charlie.

Yeah, I'd definitely look for a better (cheaper) insurance company.

Heck Lazler told me what he pays for his 05. He pays 500 a month on it. That is due the the area. It doesn't matter what company your with. Its all due to the location.

He's in Alberta, they are one of the most expensive for young adults. When my cousin was 18, his insurance was 5 grand a year. No accidents, no tickets. Its location and his young age....

It's time for you to move. $800? I have two DW's, a driving after rev., leaving the scene, and a driving too fast for conditions and I only pay $47 a month for full coverage.

yup. location, location, location. i pay $200/ month and i have almost everything except for a rental. i thought it would go down too since i drive for a living. nope. i'm a high risk driver.....because of all the @$$hats out there that can't drive.

sucks about the pole. make sure there is no structural damage and get a ranger front clip from the j/y.
1. they're cooler then a mazda
2. more available then a mazda
3. probably cheaper then a mazda

Holy! Pole FTW! Is the ranger paid off? Cause if it isn't then I am surprised the financing company allows you to carry no collision.

Lots of damage for going that slow. Air bags go off? That alone will be at least 2500 dollars, if they went off. I'd say you're looking at an expensive repair job...

And 800 dollars a month for insurance? Thats ridiculous.

Yep, private insurance there. Alberta's insurance is stupid-expensive for young males. A cousin had a v6 trans-am and he was quoted $9000 a year. Sorry, that's just insane. It wasn't even a v8!

I'm in BC and while I'm not under 25, I don't think I ever paid more than ~900/year on insurance with no collision coverage.

My new truck has full coverage and outright replacement warranty for ~$1600/year.
