whenever i start my truck there is this crazy screeching noise that sounds horrible. if anyone know about this or may have any suggestions about what it is that would be awesome. my guess is the starter but i just dont know.

 

serpentine belt?

 

Yep, prolly definitely from teh front of the engine area... and if it is, then its probably: serpentine, idler pulley, bearings going bad, or something all the way up to water pump, A/C clutch, or any number of things.


BUT, if it just happens right on first start, then that probably means its just moisture on your belt.. Might be about time to upgrade to a Gatorback
