Anyone want to help me do an engine swap in CT? I have lots of tools and a garage but now engine hoist, anyone down to help or have a hoist?

 

where in CT are you? and what kinda swap are you doing?

 

i might be able to get my hands on a hoist...im in MA but i wont be around til after june 7th

 

Im in Durham, between middletown and wallingford, 40 minutes south of hartford. I am swapping the same kind of motor in its a 4.0 sohc

 

Alright so I found someone whos gonna help me near by... for $400. better than nothing. So I need to know exactly what Im going to need for parts if Im taking the old engine out ndswaping in a used one, what do I need as far as gaskets, bolts, belts, hoses, fluid, whatever I am going to need so i can get it ahead of time.
Oh and what is a good site to order from? summit?

 

How heavy is the engine? can 3 people lift it?

this weekend or next, defintitly next weekend but hopeful this saturday/sunday depending on when he's available

 

as far as parts go it all depends on how much the jy striped down the motoryou will probley be making runs to a parts store will doing it if you need anything

also is the new motor out of the same year truck some thing may need to be moved over from the old one if its not
