Dirt bikes 250 2-stroke or 450 4-stroke

Looking to get a bike just can't decide. Haven't really rode one in 13 years.the last bike I had was a Honda cr80. Just wanna get some opinions on size and brands.

I'd definitely go with a 450 4 stroke. more torque, less problems, etc. 2 strokes are cool and all but you'll have to wait for the powerband to get the peak power. a 4 stroke the power is always there.

Wtf you talking about? I have only a little experience but I rode a buddies 250 and it was a jumpy ****. My KTM 450 required less throttle but felt smoother.

Also the 250s are a bit lighter, which could come into question.

Peak power on a 2 stroke is when you hit power band, it's not consistent like a 4 stroke.
They suck lol 4 stroke ftw. I'll never own another two stroke mainly because they always break. They are overall faster but temperamental lol

Me too!!!

I kept the Alpina (350cc) for 8 yrs. I sold the Frontera (370cc) after one. The Alpina was more like a trials bike, the Frontera like a motocrosser..

WTF..

2 stroke all the way:

lighter
cheaper
faster
easier to work on
cheaper to maintain
moar badasser
moar funnerer

That is unless you are just wanting to trail ride. 4 strokes work better for that.
2 strokes need to be ridden hard to work well.

They are the same size

They fit diagonally with the tailgate up, or straight with it down or even removed.

Both are cool, 2 strokes are more fun in my opinion.

Nah, that fits just fine

In my youth 2-stroke was better, you can "throw it around" in the air, jumps better, quicker around corners and overall
I like 4-stroke now, quieter, smoother because of the weight, doesn't stink, lol, loads of power at lower RPMs

Reminds me of the young bull and old bull standing on the hill looking over the heard of cows
young bull says, "hey why don't we run down there and get us a couple of cows"
old bull says, "why don't we walk down and get them all"

Sometimes slow and steady wins the race, depends on your goal
