Hi all, I'm currently trying to fix my pw door locks. they unlock with the key but when i hit unlock on the door panel switch they try to unlock or lock but it doesn't work. You can see the locks twitching trying to unlock but it seems like the motors or solenoids dont have enough oomph. but my initial questions is how do i figure out if i had a key fob to unlock the doors from the factory?

 

generally, i believe if u have power locks then u had the ability for keyless entry. best way is to try to find a remote and program it to ur truck and see if it works. I have bought fobs on craigslist for like 20 bucks. programming it involves turning the key from off to run a certain number of times and then hitting the fob unlock, the door locks should react and if so u have it programmed and working.

 

ordered an ebay remote and it works only i still need to replace the actuators. Is this an actual alarm or just keyless entry?
