Magnaflow on Extend Cab 4x4 Sport

Hey all,

I'm looking at the dual cat-back exhaust from Magnaflow (part # 15773). It says on the Magnaflow website that it won't fit the sport model and I can't seem to figure out why. Possibly because it comes with a hitch installed from the factory, but I'm not sure why it makes a difference. On the hottexhaust (Ontario website) it says just the Edge model is excluded.

Anyone have an idea as to why it says this?

I've seen people on here with sport models and dual cat-back exhausts (ranger4.0 for example). If I buy the kit, I would take it to a muffler shop and get them to install it.

Thanks,

Frank

I've never heard of why they wouldn't fit certain trim levels... but not sure about hitch clearance! I'm sure they could modify it to fit with a little work if needed.

I have that kit on my truck and it clears the hitch just fine. Not sure if the edges have a different size hitch or not.

I don't either. I cant figure this one out. I mean it doesn't make sense as to why it wouldnt fit. Maybe the tips just sit on the under-side of the hitch?

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. Maybe the off-road version (exhaust comes out before rear right tire) is what I should get then.

The only way it could is if the exhaust made another part fail. Example, you forget to flash back you ecu after blowing apart your motor and they find the custom tunes or you put 37s on a truck and they snap an axle cuz of the weight.

Okay, thanks for the info.

I'm kind of disappointed that you cant get the dual cat-bat to work on the sport without taking off the hitch, but I still like how the offroad package looks as well.
