I noticed it tonight that its out, does yours light up? i got a appt to have my truck see the doc, and if its supposed to be lit, ill whine about it and maybe theyll fix it.

ya it lights up.
there is a bulb behind the bezel. you have to take the bezel off and take the switch out of the bezel. then u should see the bulb.

 

same here... i was just sitting here trying to think if mine does or not, and i honestly don't know... i've never noticed if it does or not, lol... oh well.. if it's supposed to, and doesn't... i know where the switch is.. im not gonna bother with the bulb, lol.

Although I know when I'm in 4x4, a light shows up on the dash, that's all that matters to me really.

i remembered to take a look at mine today while driving... mine lights up... i also noticed that i have one light out on the dash cluster near the battery thing, lol... oh well.... i dont need to see if my battery is in the normal zone or not while driving, lol.

 

You'll have to replace the switch (bulb not sold seperately), unless you want to convert to LED.

 

Mine doesnt....niether does my headlight switch......My cruise control lights went out while it was under warrantee, but my 4wd switch and my headlight switch were out too, i just didnt know they were suppose to light up!!

so i can add this to my list, which as it stands:

Max AC mode causes it to get VERY loud andsome times sounds like something is hitting the fan.
the swithc lights
driverside door locks
driverside mirror shakes
tranny still shifts funny
gas light thingy

 

Wow so i found out tonight that my 4wd switch DOES light up!! Never knew it did...

but the headlight switch is a no-go..

You have to turn on your parking or headlights and the switch light goes on when you turn on the lights.

 

This thread is over 16 years old.... it can at least get a learners permit.
