my door lockes are going out, i think the passenger one is just about toast. they are the manual ones where you need the key to operate them, not power locks. the lock studs still lock the doors it just becoming harder to unlock them from the outside with the key, have to turn the key back the forward to unlock, pass door i have to insert key turn it in the unlock direction and then thump the door to get it to go.

so how much of a PITA is it to replace the manual lock mechanisms and what year lock mechs are compatible with a 2000. would i have to get the truck rekeyed or just the lock mechs, is there anyway to simply clean up the insides of the mechs?
