If you do it, write up a simplified version and post it on here. I was going to do the mod but like you said, the instructions seemed complicated, so I didnt bother.

ok. here it is in 10 easy steps.

1. preheat the oven to 250.
2. put each headlight in with the lense up on a cookie sheet for 14-15 minutes.
3. take out and start prying it open with a screwdriver.
4. put corner lenses in with the lense up on a cookie sheet for 7 minutes.
5. take out and start prying it open with a screwdriver.
6. tape off what you dont want to be painted.
7. paint.
8. reassemble with silicon sealer, clear or black.
9. put finished product back on the truck
10. stand back and enjoy cuz its over and it looks good.

I think they are talking about the turn signal mod.

So that means they dont sell the clears at all anymore?

alternating turnsignal mod.

1. pull healight out and access bulb wires
2. cut ground of corner bulb.
3. but connect a wire to the ground.
4. scotch lock that wire into the turn signal wire. (green/white for the driver side|white/green for the passenger side)
5. check to make sure it works.
6. reassemble.

Right now I'm not living in a place that allows me to do it and I'm crazy busy with school. If you PM me again in the summer time, maybe we can work something out.

I like the headlights, but I hate the corners.

I bought them a long time ago.

IMO better design than OEM. They are sealed FULLY all the way around, and seem to be thicker, for some reason. Also they are painted perfectly, professionally. I love em, never had a problem with them.

Speaking of the DOT and eBay.........

I seen a few auctions for clear corners now comming with amber reflective tape or stick-ons. I guess this is how the sellers are getting to continue to sell the aftermarket stuff.
