What is "wknd"?

I assume you used "da" to replace the word, "the" to save minutes on typing this, that is in fact in the wrong forum . . .

Man you guys are ruff. and yhea wknd is weekend and da instead of the. Not ebonics I aint black. Just a product of Jersey's public school system. And I wuz just seeing if any one wanted to grab a beer and shoot the sh*t for a while. I'm stuck at the Holiday Inn for at least 72 hours.

 

Its all fun and games around here. But i really didnt know what wknd was.

 

I don't care how bad you think the school system is... no one is teaching people to spell like that............. besides... rise above the school system if it's that bad, don't just use it as a cop-out

 

It's not school that taught me that it was work. See when you type messages on a quailcomm you are charged by the letter and so there is a long list of commonly used abbreviations and (wknd) is just one of them. I guess sometimes you just fall back into habits. Like when I get tired and make a turn real wide in the ranger like I got 53' trailer behind me.

 

i'm talking about stuff like spelling "was" - "wuz" didn't save any letters there... just look like a turd
