well as some know from by blow off thread i had my sideview mirror attacked!! so i wanted to know if any after market companies or other ford models will fit my truck to replace them. like Blinkers built in and maby heat or something cool like that or like a chrome look to them or something that also Fold not liek thoes cheep ebay led ones that look like honda ones.
if anyone has any ideas plz tell me id really like some blinkers on them or somehting.

There are some aftermarket direct replacements on ebay that look just like OEM; if you want heated I believe you'd have to use the actual glass part from an explorer/mountaineer (Bob did that mod I think); and turn signals.. you could get some thunderbolt turn signal mirrors, which will mount to power '02-05 mirrors only; or you can just make your own lights to go on the housing and wire them up, some explorers/mountaineers came with them but their housings won't fit on a ranger..

 

the any units from the newer rangers fit the 99's? or no and are there any kits to do the turn singnal mod with that dont look bulky??

i know about the oem replacemet one on ebay i am just asking to see if i got any options since i am in need on replacing :)

 

I put some 2004 mirrors on my truck, since I wanted to use the tbolt turn signal mirrors.. the '06 style mirrors will bolt on as well, i think they are kinda cool looking and come in chrome like you're wanting. I dont know of any kits, but all you'd really need to do is find a low profile LED strip or w/e to mount to the bottom of the mirror, wire them up, and voila. I've seen it done before and turned out pretty good.

 

i really like the calviews but they are expensive...

honestly i prefer color matched or black....i dont like chrome mirrors...otherwise i would alread have them on my truck......i might be selling my power mirrors in the next month or so....i want some calvu's

Even though they appear outwardly identical, the 02~05 factory glass insert will not mount to a 2001-back factory mirror. The mounting platform is entirely different.

If the mirror housing and platform are undamaged, you can buy heated and signal mirror inserts plus controller from Muth but they are very expensive. www.muthco.com

Again, if the housings and adjuster platform are OK, you may be able to order replacement glass inserts from a Ford dealer. You'd have to check with a dealer to see if they're available separately.

Complete mirror assemblies from the later Rangers should bolt right on and I think that the connectors are the same. Expensive unless you can find a junkyard deal.

EBay has lots of aftermarket knockoffs for sale but I don't know how they compare to the factory parts.

have u ever seen anyone use the stick on arrows with red led's? i would just really liek the turn signal and yes the whole mirror is gone but the good thing is the glass didnt crack lol but i am just looking for options for a turn signal thingy. sith the hilbank ones would work stupid thing!

 

The Hillbank turn signal kit wouldn't help you even if it did fit your 99. It is just the glass inserts, not the complete mirrors.

 

i know that, ok ill just get the oem mirrors maby something else will come out for under a bama tuner cost for a turn signal thing.
