Exhaust manifold collector
Exhaust manifold collector
Hey y'all,
Im in a pickle with my 3.0 ranger. Im putting my exhaust back on, I am currently stuck with tryin to figure out why my exhaust is loose on one of my collector ports. One of the ports is nice N tight while the other is loose like no tomorra. The studs on the manifold flang is all the way seated in to the manifold. And the bolts to get the collector port secure to the manifold are tight as while but I still have rattling. So if someone could give some guidance that would be appreciated.

Not sure if the 3.0l needs a donut gasket on the collector to pipe fitting, it might, and it may be missing on that side and not the other side
Use of a donut gasket can be year specific
Maybe flange is bent, try a couple of washers on the bolts and see if it tightens up
