not sure how exactly to describe this.. when im coming to a stop, at the last moment it feels like the truck is ahead of the wheels and drops back a little settling where its supposed to be.. can only feel the dropping back part and feels like its in the front end more than the rear.. theres not any noise and its fairly smooth.. doesnt feel hard like solid metal to metal more like its stretching the suspension and the last second its pulled back to its normal position..hope that makes sense.. this is a 97 ranger xlt super cab 4.0 2 wheel drive

 

Pretty sure this is normal for any vehicle when you come to a complete stop, unless what you are describing is worse than the average vehicle. All cars are going to dive down in the front under braking and then once stopped you will feel the back set down.

 

no this isnt the suspension pre load from the force of braking.. it feels like the axle is loose and when slowing down like the car lifts out of its groove about and inch and when forward motion stops the car falls back into normal position.. a forward up feeling like it wasnt to keep rolling but the wheels stopped so it rolls back.. crap its hard to describe.. guess im gona have to pay close attention as im driving and stop go stop go to try and get an idea of what it is then jack it up and poke around

Check your front suspension for starters. Make sure everything is tight. Same with the rear. Maybe look at your cab bolts as well....

 

I had the same thing happen to me last night, its hard to describe the filling but it didn't do it again, I think my breaks were wet, thats the only thing I can think of.
