But now I'm wondering... Your honest feedback: would adding flares to a splash look stupid?
While I'm at it --any other suggestions to pimp up the old girl? Here's some Photoshopping I tired to give me an idea of the upgrades (roof leds, wheels, flares and black trim on front lights) but it doesn't give a realistic idea.. I don't think.

I think adding fender flares to the step side bed is horrible looking. The fronts wouldn't be bad but it never looks good on the rear bed. I asked this years ago and made a thread to see what it would look like with just fronts. It didn't look too bad but it still seemed off a bit for whatever reason. My vote is no flares.
You should add window visors. Those are a cheap mod and the in channel look makes the side profile of the ranger look good. Plus they are functional if you want the window down a little bit while it's raining.

Boom! Done! Even though I live in S.CA (it rarely rains) I just bought the window visors.TY! And I think you might be right... I'll forget the $500. rivet flares and put that money towrd a better cab roof light. any suggestions there? And I'll maybe poke around the forum to find out too. While I'm at it --are all lift kits about them same? I was going to get this one:
