well.. it was a ****ty night... so i went out to the nd of year party of all the agro related carrers at my univerity and everything was fine.. just a funky noise when breaking, sounded like it was dirty or something...
left the party drove around 12 miles to my GF house parked a while and went inside for like 20 min.
when i was leaving a started up the truck everything was fine then turning around i hear a nasty sound coming from the rear.... engaded reverse and it got worse.... in 2wd it wasent going anywere.. the rear diferential was locked.... 4hi nothing 4low and it moved ...forced....
drove it like some 30-40 feet to get it out of the street and ask my brother in law to try and move the truck while i saw an try to check whats up and i see the rear drivers side tire still and huge axle wrap.... i drove it a bit harder and the left side rear tire started spinnig and the drivers side stuck.....
i pushed the brake pedal and it dead....
**** men...... i have to go tomarrow to pick it up and take it to the shop to see what the hell is wrong... adn i have no clue how im gona get the truck up the tow truck or getting it down if i got the wheels stuck......

funny thing past few days ive seen the hand brake light come on and off during the day while driving.... dont know if this got something to do...
and i just love i got to tke the truck to the shop this weeks when iv egot most work to do with the truck....

sounds like maybe the brake seized. if that's the case, there is a slot in the drum that allows the shoes or pads (can't remember which is for the rear) to be adjusted in the case of emergencies or drum removal.

 

got it to the mech. there was a roll that busted and got inside the caliper.. (have no clue if thats how its called in english..) and that busted my front disk little by little, then that same roll perforated the caliper and all the breake fluid was lost little by little cause when i checked yeterday under the truck it was dry... prolly that was why my rear tires locked when they lost all fluid

so... damag so far... set of brake disks--- 200$
brake pads --- 60$
caliper fix --- 20$
shop fee-- not done yet..

hope i can get the truck back tonight.. o well luckly i was driving slow if the tires locked up while on the highway it might have been a diferent story.....

roll? i think you mean piston. i can visualize what happend tho. good to see it didn't do too much damage or it didn't happen while at a high rate of speed.

 

Dont say roll this close to thanksgiving and chistmas....all I could think of is someone throwing a bunch of delicious buttery rolls in the road. :(

 

yeah ive got some terms messed up... some i just dont know how to say them in spanish and others i have no idea how to say them in english... and most translators wont work.... so o well....

it was sad seeing the truck sitting on top of the tow truck... im getting it back tomarrow morning and gona do an oil change and a nice wash... poor guy has been threw alot this 2 days...
