Daewoo is changing their name in every other country because they are peices of crap but they are still around. Opel is only availible in other countrys. BMW owns Triumph. MG is still around. Datsun is now Nissan. ****** was changed to Kaiser-Jeep Corporation then Kaiser-Jeep was sold to American Motors Corporation and now DaimlerChrysler owns them. Cord, De Soto and Eagle are gone

Not arguing with you just pointing out facts they are ALL gone but still around if you know what I mean.

If Ford was in ALOT of trouble some company would buy them.

That's what I was getting at, if Ford starts going down, Toyota would buy them out in a heartbeat, because they know that if they didn't, GM would and gain the upper hand by eliminating a major competitor and doubling it's size

D, have you drivin around Buffalo lately. How bout downtown with all those abandoned buildings. nuff said.

unemployment rates only include those still getting a check, whatabout those where the check stopped and they still cant get a job? Cant support a family on $10an hr.

hell, take my sister, shes a declorated officer of iraqi freedom, holds a masters in business, super smart, works for a brokerage firm in Niagra falls for $12 an hr, with no benefits.

However, she did get a job with US customs in Anchorage alaska, but even thats a bit of a stretch since she'll hafta buy all new furniture when she gets there, and shes 5,000 miles from her family, and her dieing father - not like she cares about him anyway, but still. I call it a lucky break.

*patiently waits for D to yell at him*

WOW - Alaska!!
Long Beach and Los Angeles are the two busiest ports in the USA
Then comes Oakland and then the good old Port of NY/NJ
There are THOUSANDS of Customs and Border Patrol jobs available
Why the heck go all the way north??
