Front Fog Light Valance?????

I do not have this option on the truck that I bought, but i really like the pics of everyones front chin spoiler with the factory fog lights in them.

Does anyone know if I was to decide to upgrade to this valance and fog lights, is the factory wiring harness compatible with this upgrade? I mean is it just plug and play, and adding a switch? Or is like starting from scratch?

Thanks again guys
shane

some have it some dont.. my XLT didnt but my splash did.. its hit and miss...

getting the valance you can get the opal(grey) one from the dealer for around $60.. and its about the same with shipping for an aftermarket one online...

fog lights will have to be custom adapted the stock brackets are darn near impossible to find and are expansive as hell from the dealer. you can order stock replacement fogs from summit racing.. 89-91ish mustang GT fogs are identical thats what you look up.

wired mine up with a relay.. 12+ switch is wired to park lights so when i turn on the park lights the fogs come on

that is a good other way of doing it incase you don't have the wiring there....

and yes the stock fog light brackets are hard to find......

Thanks for the tips. I will have to look into it a little bit further.

If mine is plug and play, where might they be hidden? I need a idea of where to look. Also, if it is prewired, will it come on in the same fashion as you mentioned if I need to wire it up?

get under the truck the rad support on the front side will have a round connector clipped to it if it has it... problem is the aftermarket replacement fogs do not come with that connector so you have to splice.. and then your still missing the relay in the box and the switch...

either way i would just wire it up separate with a relay and fuse..

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look. But it sounds like I'll have to wire it up from scratch, or at least that sounds easier...
