I read on here that there are 4x4 XLT w/ foglights valences for the 04-05 Ranger and FX4 valences w/ foglights. What is the difference between the two?

Also. I am looking at lifts. I read through the tutorial on the 3in BL and it looks a little two extensive for me. I am looking into 1 to 2 inch basic lifts, on a budget. Since I am 2WD and have coil springs I am thinking 4, one inch coil spring spacers. 2 for each side in the front. And Add-A-Leaf kits for the back. One leaf adds a little under 2 inches.

Will this work? Will I have to do any modifications to my vehicle if I do 1 to 2 inches like you have to for a 3 inch?

01-04 Fx4 Valences have a cut-out of the special "J-hook" towhooks. That's the only difference between them. '05 Fx4 valences are exactly the same as a normal XLT 4x4 valence.



The lift questions...I'm not too sure. I'd just 3" spindle lift it and put a shackle in the back. That'll get you 3" front, 2" rear lift. You can then run 31's.
