Guy I bought the truck off of put a new fuel pump in the truck, and I guess he ran a new wire too straight from the battery. If I put the wire on the positive terminal I hear the pump kick on and start running, so I know the pump is good. Where is this wire SUPPOSED to go? I know it doesn't just go straight into the battery. It's an 89 2.9 V6. I'm going to change out the fuel filter, just have to get down and crawl under it and see where it is, but I need to know where this power wire is supposed to hook up.
