Future Plans and questions

Ok so lately I have been really itching to lift my truck. I don't do much wheeling so I have decided to go with a BL. I also am planning on changing out my shocks (they are pretty old) and was wondering if buying https://www.ranger-forums.com/f101/o...ing-kit-94743/ is worth it or would I be better off just cranking the T-bars and buying different shocks. I want the truck to sit pretty level so would adding drop shackles in the rear screw that up to much?

Last question is choice on wheels. Im probably just going to run 33x12.50 tires and was curious if anyone has either of these wheels or which would possibly be better for my truck.

Rock Crawlers

or

ION 71 Series Alloy Wheels at StylinTrucks.com

Anyway I hope I can get some answers to clarify what I want. Thanks guys.

I would just crank the t-bars and get new shocks. I wouldn't bother with drop shackles, you'll have to max the t-bars to keep it level and then you'll lose a lot of ride quality. Bilstein makes a good replacement shock and they ride super nice.

I would go with the second wheels, I'm not a fan of steel wheels at all. Strong yes, cheap yes, but very heavy.

for the price of that leveling kit you could buy the coil over kit and get just as muck lift with much better ride quality.

Yea just crank your torsion bars. Don't worry about a shackle in the back.

Ok cool I was curious about that kit since you get the keys and shocks with it but I wasn't to sure on the price. I agree the second rims did seem like a better idea.

I was actually thinking the same thing before. I really don't know if I want to go through the hassle of converting to Coil overs though. Not sure I may need to read a little more into it and decide. I was considering it though.

Thanks for the help guys, I just added everything up and knocked about $550 off the price for everything.

I have two more questions. Is the PA BL and Summit BL the same? I know Summits says its for only up to 1998 or something but they both look like they come with the same stuff. Second question is I can I run 33x12.50 on 15x8 wheels right?

The Summit one will work on your truck, I used it on my 04.
