future plans for 32's

im in the plans of getting some new tires, i want to go with a 15X8 rim and with 32's...now i have a 04 edge...i was doing some reading about this in other threads, i just want to be clear about it. 32s won't rub with regluar driving but will rub while flexing... and also do i really need to crank the t-bars to make them fit?

They wont rub unless flexing, I have 285/70-17's and they rub sometimes while Im at full turn. Nope, you dont need to crank the bars for them to fit, but it looks alot better and youll be wanting to do it soon anyway.lol

I still didn't rub with my 32s, well I did at full lock in reverse but I rarely ever did that. I'm rockin a 3" body lift now with 32s and it looks good in my opinion. I have the same truck as you and I was running the same combo so you'll be fine.

The problem with going bigger than a 15 is the tires are so much more expensive.

According to where you get the tires. I found 5 285/70-17 BFG a/t's, which 4 were used with over half tread and the 5th was brand new, all 5 for $175 on craigslist.... Deals are out there! I wanted to go with something a little bigger, thats a little more eye catching, and the stares never lie!

well, yea, but very little. If you went from 31" tires to 32" tires, you'd gain 1/2" height.

Randy...I have no clue why your rubbing. crank that bad boy up some and you'll be just fine.

I ran 32x11.50's, wheeled it hard as i always do when i wheel, and wheels go funny ways while wheeling. Effed up the right front fender, and both bedsides. 32x11.50r15' BFG Mud Terrains on 15x8" steelies w/ 4" backspace and slightly cranked bars(1").

You are perfectly fine for the street..no rub what so ever. Even wheelin' your fine. I wheel hard, thats why i messed my crap up. and it is an addiction. stock w/ 31's, stock w/ 265's, stock w/ 285's, stock w/ 32's, 1" bl and 32's, 3" bl and 32's, 3" bl and 35's, 4" sl 3" bl and 35's now. still wanting more. lol.
