Although I'll warn you; removing factory stickers/decals can confuse stoopid car salesman. A couple years back I tried (unsuccessfully) to trade truckzilla in for a more sensible car. One shmuck I talked to asked me "..are you sure it is really a 4x4? They normally have stickers or something on the back of the bed or tailgate saying '4x4' and yours doesn't."
Yeah.. 'cause the stickers make it 4WD. That 2nd lever off the trans hump and the t-case connected to it has nothing to do w/ it! I added those for decoration.
Another genius salesman who checked out my trade asked me if I still had the original hood. I asked him WTF he was talking about. He mumbled something about my 'after market' fiberglass hood, said he was taking a couple hundred off because the paint on my 'after market' hood didn't match the truck. I pointed at the red, same gen Ranger 4x4 on the lot at the dealership across the street. All 4x4's and Edges from that era have the fiberglass hood genius.. and the paint is factory. Take your low-ball trade offer and stick it..

Yes.. misunderstood that. My reply was to Bob.. meaning I'd like to see/hear about the comedy that would certainly ensue from a discussion between Bob and a car dealer regarding the trade value of his meticulously modified truck. I cannot imagine the discussion would be anything short of absurd!
"Alright we have here a 4WD Range.. no, V8 Explo.. no, Eddie Bau.. no..."
That said I'd like to be a fly on a wall as a dealer service 'writer' tried to write up a service slip for his truck too.. They always wrote my '99 XL Sport (w/ the 2.5L I4) up as a V6! I once got billed for a full-tuneup including 6 new spark-plugs. (Although the engine took 8 plugs!)
