wow... I can see abbreviating some words like probably and other ones. i don't like text messages where you can hardly read them. ex. What r u doin today, or c u l8r. just type the whole word. even when texting i still spell 90% of my words out because otherwise you can't read it. honestly its not that hard to type well. my bad habit is leaving the "g" off of words like i did earlier he he

Its amazing. I have read some of the threads on here and wondered ' What the hell are they talking about? '.
We spend billions on education.. proof its all a waste and should be invested elsewhere.
I am not pissed off or upset or mad or anything... Its just a forum, I know. Every time I see "prolly" I think of the most uneducated redneck/white trash/ghetto sitting around with 10 kids drinking keystone light with a mullet and shotgun saying..."I should prolly take out the trash"
I guess for me, I like to portray a certain image over the web. Using proper English is not hard and does not take any more time. My previous employer searched the forums for my posts and decided to hire me based on what they read.
It is not up to me how any of you type, but reading "prolly" multiple times in the new posts section was just...baffling.
But you are all prolly right...I am just going crazy.

My dad was a VP at a large corporation. Part of his job was the hiring and firing of young engineers. He would often tell me about not hiring, or letting go a brilliant young engineer. The reason? His, the young engineer's, grammar and or writing skills were so poor, he was unable convey his ideas to others.
BTW: For all you DAMN YANKEES out there. (non southerners) FIXINTA = fixing to = I'm about to.

Whats even more wierd is the brains ability to rearrange the letters in your mind so that you can rear mispelled words. In most instances I have become pretty much immune to mis spellings and shorthand online. the Spell checker in MS Word had a field day with the essay's I wrote for school LOL...
But aside from that, I do try to atleast get my caps right, spelling and some periods and commas, however its not a HUGE priority for me.

I cant say Ive used prolly but why does it matter? there are a lot of shorthand words here like its easier to just type wtf instead of what the ****..either way i don't care if people use shorthand or not..what i cant stand is a person that dont make any sense because the spelling is that bad
