$3.27 last night at a Shell near my house, they keep blaming it on 3rd world countries!!!! They are emerging from third world poverty and now can afford diesel and unleaded fuel...WTF ...they can't afford shoes, live in metal sheds , and **** in the water the drink....still.... Show me any news footage of someone pulling up to a gas pump anywhere in third world country. Its still the oil companies controlling the flow of oil . Our economy is still in the dumps from those crooks on Wall Street who tried to push off bad home loans on the stock market. I've heard as much as 10% unemployment that would lead me to believe that 10% less people can afford to by fuel. Supply is high and demand is low...so it should be falling gas prices..right??? If you believe this then you didn't pass Economics 101...If you loose it in one market you pass it to another. A pipe line burst somewhere, a storm shut down refining somewhere and the price rockets that hour. I've been driving for over 30 years and 30 years before that we were told the fossil fuel will someday dry up and we'd have to find other ways to get around. We're still getting the run around over what we would do with electric cars and public transportation or even bikes.... Oil is the key the evil in this story. We have 24/7 gas stations 12 or more pumps and you can't go 2 miles till you hit another intersection with 4 stations selling it for the same price...No competition between then anymore....its all price fixing if you ask me. Start this going. July 4th week.....no one buy any gasoline.....lets get our independence back from the oil companies for good. If we do something now it will have an effect on them for ever. Remember that so-called oil embargo of the early 70's gas was under a dollar a gallon and we we're lined up around the block to get 5 gallons. That should happen again, make Washington come to a halt. Record profits again even with that oils spill in the Gulf. That mean that the price of a barrel of oil has been
too high for too long...Profits in the "BILLIONS" above and beyond what the company need to stay in business. Don't buy any gas the week of The Fourt Of July or the tenth anniversary of 9-11-01. Pass it around...
Thanks,

It's all good talking about diesel. As least it's still about petrol lol. I just don't want it to turn into another shouting match thread about forced induction or some sh*t. Those thing get out of control.

We just got a CNG/E85 station not too long ago here and the latest price update I could find (December 12) had E85 at $2.17 a gallon and $1.85 per GGE (gasoline gallon equivalent) for CNG. I don't really know a whole lot about either of the 2 but I heard recently that some of these researchers say that E85 is actually less efficient than gasoline. Don't know how true that is though. I do know that E85 does produce less power than gasoline.

Thanks,

I don't even want to begin on your "dont buy gas for a week". You're retarded, you'll just buy twice as much gas a week later, genius plan.
You're probably not buying gas while you're hiding in your tin foil covered shed, i'd assume.

e85 is a joke!

true more ethanol in the gas makes it run cleaner but drops gas mileage...which = more gas being used. which puts us back at square one lmao!

hawaii you can choose between ethanol blend or pure gas.

yeah, and how old are you??? 30 years of driving and gasoline is still made the same way, there hasn't been a new refinery built in over 40 years, they are making 5 grades of gasoline and two grade of diesel fuel... if its in that much of a demand make only one 90 octane grade of gasoline and only the ultra lower sulfur grade of diesel !!!! I can drive a mile down any busy street in Chicago and find 2 to 3 gas stations, side by side, across the street open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and never find them with covers over there pump handles saying "Out Of Service" The prices are the same at each station. My first car got 20 mpg and my newest car gets 20 mpg. No 40 mpg car will save your life if you get hit in it!!! Maybe you can afford to pay what they think you should pay and go on with your day like there is nothing you can do about it any ways...It simple price fixing, DOE (Department of Energy) said today that the supply is at an all time high this year ( which means we are not using it fast enough for them) Guess what happened , the price of a barrel drop $3.00 dollar this morning.....3 years ago they blamed it on hedge funds, people who buy oil to take it out of the supply to drive up the price. Now what is the reason???? Good luck with your headache.
