Make sure you wear long pants and shoes, or they may not let you run...same with your passengers if you are going to have any.

Alon & I went to the local track and I wasnt wearing long pants or shoes...just shorts and sandles and they wouldnt let me ride with him.

Doubt the octane boost will help, have you ever raced at the track before? do you know what RPMS to launch your truck at without spinning all over the place?

Just take you truck to the track how it is and run it. No need for all this extra stuff.

Go to the track, run some times, try some diffrent lauching techniques and have fun.

I agree with the statement that you dont need to do anything. Your not in a street car and wont be pushing it to its limits by hotlapping im guessing. Just have fun.

You will own the 2.0. Is is the 3.0 that the ranger is. Sucky, slow, and gutless. It runs forever though! The 2.0 puts out 115Hp and likely weight more than your truck.
