Green is the ****! Im pretty sure ford has sold a ton of green rangers and its a popular color...just dont know why they stopped making that color period...

 

the only good green is our green and emrald green... the rest were terrbile turquose looking greens that were nasty....

It wasn't an easy choice, but it saved me thousands if it was gone before I closed on my house. It being gone allowed me to get a 5.85% interest rate versus the current one that is steadily aproaching 7% and I also am now eligible for 18K in Grant money from the County and the MHFA. But once I am in the house they can't take it back so then I am free to go into the same amount of debt.

I wanted to get a cheaper car originally but now I am left with three options:

1. Paying cash for a Piece of Sh**. I really don't like to drive junk.

2. Financing a ten year old truck for about $300 a month.

3. Financing a Brand new truck with a warranty for $350 a month.

Vista blue is just a slight bit brighter then sonicblue its not close to bright island blue at all.

I was wondering why they'd get rid of it. As much as I kid about it, it was a nice color and obviously way more popular than my favorite blue. How many Bright Islands do you see? Not many, but Sonic Blue is everywhere, so their reasoning for getting rid of it is wierd.

I'm sure John is just beggin to get in with the scene. First he'll get the ranger, then lift it. Ok, I need help! I just got back from the dealer and I learned a few things.

First Vista Blue = darker Sonic Blue

Second the only difference between a stripped ranger and a FX4 with all the options is only $1500

Third I can no longer buy a ford Ranger. After I got my price for X-plan from the dealer I just for S&G went to the toyota Dealer down the street, and forgive me I've fallen for a Yota!

I drove a Bright Blue Toyota Taco sport and OMG I can't go back. It has more room and better handling, better gas mileage (18-22 versus 15-19) a better sound system. It also has no torsion bars and standard full skid plates whereas only a level II gets that on a ranger. Floor shifter auto was kicka$$! The Composite inner bed and bedcaps means no need for a sprayed in liner. it has a 400W 110 volt outlet in the bed and a Class IV reciever. It can tow 6500#'s. And best of all it was $1000 more than the ranger!

It is assembled in Cali and is 70% american made parts. I honestly can't go back to the ranger, as great as the Ranger is this is better. I really went in there with the attitude of "I am not going to like this" But I left with the "where has this truck been all my life?"

I've sat in a newer taco before, I wasn't impressed, it wasn't roomy at all IMO, I'm more comfortable in the Ranger, but then again, im 6' 6" 265 lbs... But they are nice looking trucks...

Thems fightin words right there John. What are composite inner bedcaps? If they're plastic they're most likely trash waiting for rust to form underneath.

Did it have a limited slip in the back? Supercab the same as our ranger or a 4 door version?

Doesn't it have radius arms in its coil setup where the torsion bar would be? The torsion bar is a much stronger front suspension than coil or leaf, or any other type for that matter.


A 3 inch suspension lift is only 300 bucks, which is pretty sweet.
