Got stuck today!

So I went dirt bike riding today and took my truck out. It was in a river bed (yea we use to have water in arizona so they tell me) and was just looking for a spot to unload. My girlfriends dad was behind me in his Titan 4x4 and he went off to find his own spot. I unloaded our quad and a dirt bike and went riding for a good while. I got kinda bored of that and wanted to do some stuff with the truck so I went and did some power slides, doughnuts, rompin and basically bottoming out and ruining my little 4x2.

Anyway I was driving down the river bed and saw a random trail off to the side and decided to see where it went. The dirt seem fairly firm and didnt have any trouble driving down to a certain point where the road split into two very narrow quad trails with no room for me to turn around. I figured no biggie and put the truck in reverse. As soon as I came to a dead stop I felt and knew I made a mistake. I felt the truck shift and as I went in reverse the *** end sunk. My girlfriend of course went through the whole "told you not to blah blah you'd ruin ur truck now were stuck blah blah" So I went forward a little and tried to hit reverse with some speed to no avail.

By this time a drunk guy on a little camo utility ATV came by saying he could tow me to phoenix if I wanted. I just laughed and tried to dig out the dirt from behind my rear wheels. We actually lucked out and my girls dad drove by us and saw us to give us a little hand. He very easily pulled me out with his huge tires and 4xLow he slowly pulled me out by my tow hitch. Hah i was kind of embarrased actually by the whole thing as I was climbing stuff and going through stuff I KNOW i shouldnt be with just 2wd and being low to the ground by my locker saved me everytime so far. It was funny cause when I got out to look at my truck the rear tires had kicked all the sand away from them and the rear of the truck was sitting on the ground by my tow hitch. By freely spinning the tires I added 40 miles so I think, it says I went 97miles on a quarter of a tank, normally I get 50. Maybe it was high way miles but i dunno.

It was damn fun but at the same time made me really really want an FX4 level 2 with skid plates and 4wd .... I ended up getting back out into the river bed to do some more powerslides and what not. But man! I'd love to get me a bigger ranger now hah. If only I could afford it! Still might lift my truck 3" (full lift no body lift) to get some 32s on it!

Since your 4x4 what's your reasoning? Are you talking about financially in regards to a new truck payment?
