Grill replacement

We've got a 99 reg cab 4x4. We want to replace the grill with a mesh/honeycomb so we can put some lights behind it.

Is there a drop in replacement, can I swap in another year, or do I need to cut the bars that are in there and fab something up?

Thanks!

You would need to cut the bar and get do some custom meshing. When you see guys on here doing that they have 01-03 Edges and 4x4s which came with mesh. You can always do a front end swap though.

You need:

01-03 Header panel
01-03 Mesh grille
01-11 Headlights
06-11 Corner lights

Post some pics of the truck.

Doing a newer front end would give you plenty of room for lights

You can use the corners from 01-05 as well

Get an 01+ grill and cut the bottom off where your turn signals are

That's the look we're going for. Is the front end swap a simple unbolt the old and bolt in the new, is there some special trick?

01-03 Header panel
01-03 Mesh grille
01-11 Headlights
06-11 Corner lights if you want the cool ones. 01-05 is will work.

Either find a 01-03 Ranger with a intact front end or buy it all aftermarket. I suggest Certifit.

I've seen it on a truck in the parking lot at work. Looks ok, they didn't cut the ends off the best, If they would have taken their time it would look good.
