Herculiner?

Are you talking about the Do it yourself stuff?
If so, I have some experience with it. I added non slip bars to my E350 and coated the rear bumper with it. The only thing I didnt like about it was that its alot like thick latex, with a few bumps here and there. I added some sand to mine to give it more 'grip'
Overall I am very happy with it. It seems to hold up very well to abuse on the metal parts, but on the wood portion (the floor) it has popped off in some places... lemme see if i can locate some pics.

I used the roll on kit for my sub box the texture was good and it holds up good but its not in sun and is never really touched. I would get a line x bed liner i had one in my old truck and it did fade a little but still looked great and was super tough. My dad used to have rhino liner and it would chip and scratch like crazy it was very brittle.

Reason I ask is because I was thinking of using it on the F-250, and I'd need more to go on before I didn't do it.

I did a herculiner 2 years ago and it is holding up just fine. I use my bed from time to time, and its holding up just fine. I've drug 100 lb rocks across it nothing happened. Theres actually a giant dent in my bend from who knows what and the Herculiner isnt even chipped. I would suggest getting the UV protectant with it.
For prep, get yourself a wire wheel for your drill and go to town on it. Get it scuffed up really well. Then use acetone and clean it very well. Mine dried in a couple hours, but I wouldn't use it for a couple days just to make sure it sets up good.
Personally I cant see dropping $500 on bed liner. I would look at the scratches and dents before spending that kindof money.
