Has anyone painted thier wheel center caps? If so do you have pics? I was thinking of doing something to make it look closer to my aluminum stock wheels (Maybe metallic looking silver, and then clearcoat)

I don't like the look of the chrome they are (sorry not to offend the chrome guys)

I painted my caps....cleaned 'em, masked off the logo, sprayed on Duplicolor adhesion promotor, then on went the Rust Oleum Gloss. No clear needed...it's pretty beefy stuff. Right after I installed them on the truck, I was climbing into the bed, accedently slipped off the wet tire, then kicked the cap with my steel toes. No damage to the paint what so ever.

BUT....mentioned above.....07sport/grafixguy's truck has his painted silver...just like his wheel. BUT...he didn't paint 'em, it came stock with them.


Anyway...on with the whoring...

I never thought about doing that. I may paint mine with a silver instead of the fake chrome.

I think that last picture you posted is 07Sports? I could be wrong.

That explains it all then. I was wondering since their photos looks pretty similar and their trucks looked the same too.

Mine were peeling and looked awful (94, 14 inch rims). I peeled off the chrome, sanded them, painted them black (along with the grille).
