have a new idea about mounting some lights

so i currently have my 4 hella 500's mounted on the bumper.

now i want to step it up to the 7" or larger HID lights. but due to how the tabs were welded on the bumper, anything bigger then the 500's won't fit next to eachother. what i want to do is mount two lights on the outside mounts. but upside down so they sit inside the bumper. what would you guys think?

idk if you can picture it or not, but i think some huge lights in there on the outside mounts would look badass

You're in Nevada . It gets warm there in the summer.
One thing I would not want is something blocking the air from flowing into the radiator.
Ever.

How about doing like some of the jeeps guys do and come up with some mounts for the hood/fenders by the A pillars

That's a good idea!! I think the 7"s would fit great in that gap. Hopefully you can aim them right.

2 large lamps hanging down and 2 large lamps on the top would look good.

actually if you had a L bracket you could bolt that fender light to one of the fender bolts like those antenna mounts.

I know this is a very late reply but you could always get some flat stock and some U-bolts and mount them on your front cow-catcher.

howabout you just ditch the cute lil 7 inch lights and man up and get what the pros get

It's 100 million candlepower so it'll be pretty bright but don't point it at your truck because the paint will blister off.

agreed, even about not being able to pull off that look. even though this thread is almost a year old.

3 lights on the top of your bumper and 2 lights on each side of your licence plate... That would look good and would be bright as hell
