A ranger with a well built 302 will easily smoke the srt-10 no question (as we saw) so I dont think the guy was a bad driver at all. The lightings with 380hp smoke the srt-10's 500 hp any day of the week, it's just not that quick of a truck.

i think you are giving the lightnings a little too much credit. My buddy has a lightning and before he did alot of the engine work they would beat him big time. When he put on an exaust, intake, and a tune, it was a tie.

now he crushes them lol

i have drove both trucks and the lightning is nothing compared to the srt10......the srt10 is a lighter and more powerfull truck that then lightning....so why is it not any better? if the lightning was a better truck then why is the srt10 the worlds fastest, quickest street production truck today?

 

no the srt10's are NA engines....they have the viper v10 in it with 500 horsepower and 510 ft. lb. torque

 

i wouldnt say that... it weighs liek 1000lbs more

 

im gunna have to go with the whole weight to hp ratio because that ranger is soo much smaller then a kingcab ram that its like a bike racing a bmw, the bike has less hp more then likly but the hp per ton is much greater....

 

Lightnings do pretty good up against the SRT10's and if I remember right they are straight faster then a crew cab version like the one in the video. Also the crew cab's are automatics

 

even if the srt10 is heavier the power to weight ratio is in favor of the ram...

 

SRT-10's are a waste of money any way you look at it!

 

A srt-10 is the world's faster truck.....not quickest. My bro has a stock 03 Lighting, and has taken srt-10s. Here:
