Icon8 Hello everyone

I have a 1998 4.0 ranger xlt that I have owned for a couple of years. A few weeks ago the top radiator hose burst on the interstate and by the time I had realized and pulled off I'm afraid the motor was toast!
I managed to get if home but now I'm not sure what this next step should be. The truck itself is straight and rust free although it needed work done to the brakes and suspension. I'm in Georgia so no longer need emissions etc.

is it worth my while to replace the motor or just sell for parts/project?

I'd appreciate any suggestions as I know these little trucks are hard to find in good condition.

Thank you.

what would another truck or car run you there? If that Ranger is solid than putting a reman engine would be worth it.
